Fantasy Flower Garden Block of the Month

Liz Campbell is doing our 2011-12 Block of the Month. She's giving directions for fusible applique using the machine so if you've wanted to learn more about this technique this is the perfect place to start.

Here she is with the first flower
July's Anemone
The blocks are 10"

Of course you can do these using any applique technique you like.

Viewers' Choice Awards

Ruth Powers won two Viewer's Choice Awards at the April quilt show.
Just Dandy won for the Small/Wall Quilt category.

And Spring Encounter won for the Lap/Crib quilt (which Janice says probably should have been labeled medium-size quilt)
Congratulations to Ruth for winning in the small and medium sized categories!

No names for these snapshots of nature. If you know who made them let us know in the comments.

Sara Chappell writes that she did the Yellow Coneflowers above. "I made the center using Ruth Powers' pattern and added the paperpieced border."

Eula's Block of the Month

The May morning show-n-tell brought this version of the
Block of the Month from a few years ago designed by Eula.

No name (so much for note-taking) but she said she
combined a Bonnie Hunter idea with the blocks she'd done and liked it.

A detail

And another version from the Quilt Show.
If you have any idea who made these quilts write a note in the comments.
