Donation Quilts

Thanks for all the generosity. She's coordinating all the programs we've been giving to over the years: Head-Start, Love Quilts, Hospital, Shelters, etc.
Here's what she wants:
Quilts for kids: New born to18 years old
Head Start says they will take any design---and use batting if you want to---quilt it, tie it.

Boutique Sew-In at the March Meeting

Connie and Linda F. invite you to spend the afternoon on Tuesday, March 20th at a Sew-In in our regular meeting room.

Bring your "Boutique Challenge Project" to finish, or work on one of the projects provided by the Boutique committee. All funds raised by these sales go to fund KVQG programs.

They are looking for hand-made items for the guild Boutique table at the April quilt show.

 They'll have patterns and ideas for knick-knacks, pincushions and gee-gaws sure to be big sellers.

January 16th and 17th our program will be by Marge Banks:

My Journey with Seminole Patchwork

"The art quilts by Marge Banks are made of Seminole patchwork patterns. She assembles the traditional patterns in non-traditional ways using non-traditional fabrics---rich batiks. In the late nineties, Marge began experimenting with quilting for the first time. Her background of sewing since she was a child and her collegiate studio work in painting prompted her to 'paint with fabric.' "
