September Retreat

There was a whole lot of binding going on.
Here Jillann has Tom-Sawyered Ferrol into helping her.

Beth is finishing a long-term project: A scarecrow picture pieced of 300 log cabins that are 3" square.

Jen worked on her hand-embroidered neck tie quilt.

Deb brought a giant roll of batting to sell by the yard to benefit the guild.
Jeannie doesn't need much of it for what she's working on.
Jerrye likes to work on that scale too.

Kathe and Barbara brought fabric scraps to sell.
Altogether batting and scraps brought in $170.79 for guild projects.

Rosie brought a sewing bird pincushion to donate to the guild table.

"I don't know where I got the idea."

Thanks to Nancy and her committee for making the retreat a lot of fun.

Patti's Library Quilts

A few years ago Patti B organized a commission for the Lawrence Public Library.

Guild members made 6 quilts on a Kansas theme

The reason the angle is odd on the photos is that the quilts are hung way above our heads at the library

Next time you are at the downtown Lawrence Library look up.
