The decorating theme was red

Ferrol brought a few red and white quilts, this antique from her husband's family.

Deb R.'s antique was light red---shocking pink.

An antique with fabulous quilting

And a new one, French Panel by Margaret B with quilting by daughter-in-law Kris.

An antique sort of---begun 30 years ago by Barbara B.

Congratulations to Sheryl

Sheryl S. has a quilt on the cover of the new magazine Modern Patchwork. It's the one on the wall. A nice launch for a new publication.

And she sent a picture of a red quilt she finished for the show. The tulips are from the Legler Barn in Lenexa.

Here's a snapshot of it at the quilt show last weekend

And a Churn Dash quilt from her sketchbook.

Falling Into Place

Her distinctive quilting in a plaid design has to be seen in the cloth.

The photographers recorded every quilt entered in the main part of the show and the Miniquilt Auction.

You can order a disk for $5 (plus $1 postage if you want it mailed.) As soon as I figure out how to order one I'll put the information over on the left.

Right now: See Marziah's pictures at her Flickr page.
And we will be posting pictures here over the next few weeks, including photos of Sammie's special exhibit.

Crafts Ideas for the Boutique

Here are a few ideas---mostly bad---but they might inspire you to look around and bring a handmade item you forgot you had.

Poodle Toilet Paper Holder

Beer Can Pop Top Bustier

Not that there isn't a market for duct tape purses.
