January Program: Marge Banks

January 16th and 17th our program will be by Marge Banks:

My Journey with Seminole Patchwork

"The art quilts by Marge Banks are made of Seminole patchwork patterns. She assembles the traditional patterns in non-traditional ways using non-traditional fabrics---rich batiks. In the late nineties, Marge began experimenting with quilting for the first time. Her background of sewing since she was a child and her collegiate studio work in painting prompted her to 'paint with fabric.' "
