November Show & Tell

A place to keep souvenir pins from Sheryl

The Block of the Month from Barb L.

Who also finished a pink and purple quilt

Karen tried hand applique

And a quilt for the Mennonite Relief Sale in April

It's from Better Homes & Gardens quilt magazine

For a 12-inch block the strips would finish to 2" wide and the center square 4".
The long strips would finish to 6" and the short ones to 4".

Lori has put Cody's t-shirts into a quilt

And I think Ann donated this for the Warm Kids project

Thanks to Brenda

Brenda's been our other co-president in 2011.

In addition to her smiling face we have seen her arms and hands during show-and-tell.
We who sit and watch appreciate her work.

Thanks to Patti

Patti's been our co-president this year. And in the midst of it all she took a job in Albuquerque. So thanks to her for presiding and we will miss her.

Artist's Collaboration

It's always fun to see the way various quilters collaborate. The Kansas Art Quilters have an online exhibit that features work by several of our members. For Altered Quilts: An Artists' Collaboration one woman  made a piece and another altered it.

Nan Renbarger's altered by Janet Perkins

Kris Barlow's altered by Linda Thompson

Missing Quadruplet

Georgann is looking for one more of these blocks.

Several years ago Terry Thompson designed this quilt called
Victoria's Crown or Mrs. Brown's Quilt as the guild Block of the Month.
Georgann bought three unfinished blocks at the sale last year.
She thinks if we had four we could make next year's opportunity quilt from them.

Here's Kathy S.'s version of the finished quilt.
So if you have one of these blocks stashed away. Let Georgann know.
