Missing Quadruplet

Georgann is looking for one more of these blocks.

Several years ago Terry Thompson designed this quilt called

Victoria's Crown or Mrs. Brown's Quilt as the guild Block of the Month.

Georgann bought three unfinished blocks at the sale last year.

She thinks if we had four we could make next year's opportunity quilt from them.

Here's Kathy S.'s version of the finished quilt.

So if you have one of these blocks stashed away. Let Georgann know.

Quilts That Changed the World: Women, Movements, Healing and Art by Dr. Nancy Dawson which will be at the Plaza Branch Library at 4801 Main in Kansas City Missouri on November 7th, Monday evening. Soft Art: Uncommon Threads

For Lawrence's Final Friday tonight October 28th Georgann has organized a small show of textiles, mostly by members of the Kaw Valley Quilters Guild.

 It's in the back of the Social Service League building at 905 Rhode Island (come in the alley entrance next to the Percolator). One evening only 6-9 pm.

Inspired by Sara C's Quilt

The City Sewers small group made this silk wall quilt to donate to the Douglas County AIDS Project.

The inspiration was a family quilt that Sara C. brought to show and tell a few months ago.

Sarah's been finishing the original for a nephew.

Sarah's January Challenge

Sarah's winter challenge is yardage from Barbara B's line for Moda called Old Fashioned Calicoes.

You may recall the 1960-1990 era when this was the fabric available for patchwork.

Well---it's b-a-a-a-ck

The challenge: Pick up some fabric at Sarah's.

The kits are free because you are going to make a mini-quilt for the spring auction out of the fabric.
